Wedding Shower Ideas
I love a good wedding shower. This week I was lucky enough to attend the wedding shower of my nephew. There were so many elements from the shower that I want to share with you all. Every time I attend a shower, party, wedding or event I come away with ideas that I want to remember so that the next time I am hosting an event I can pull the idea out of my bag of tricks.
Idea #1 to remember for next wedding shower!
My SIL made thank you gifts for each of the seven hosts. The gifts were made from cabinet doors that she purchased at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. The doors were not finished so she simply stained them and then added chalk paint to the center. The handles were recycled from her kitchen redo a couple of years ago.

My niece used chalk markers to write a message on each chalk tray.

I love multiples of things!

A bow and paper rose were added to each tray to make them look more festive.

I loved the table decorations that the hosts decorated with. They found three separate wrought iron cages and unified them with a coat of spray paint. They then added these adorable pink birds. I always love how a coat of paint can totally change an object.

When I was a girl and went to showers with my mom there was always punch. In the last few years all of the showers and receptions I have attended no one served punch. I guess fewer people have punch bowls these days. The shower we attended had a great sherbet punch that was a throwback and was great.
Sherbet Punch Recipe
- 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled
- 1/2 gallon sherbet, flavor of your choice, frozen
- 1 (2 liter) bottle carbonated lemon-lime beverage, chilled, more if needed
Idea #4 to remember for next wedding shower!
I love cookies at showers rather than cake. These cute cookies really added to the table.
